In practice since 1983, Patricia Logan, M.Phil., M.A., is a
Maine-licensed, nationally certified (NCBTMB) massage therapist who has also taught massage therapy and related modalities. Her training includes circulatory, lymphatic, myofascial and energy techniques. The massage session at the retreat will focus on relaxation and integration, with the possibility of working specifically with physical awareness’s arising from clients' participation in the yoga or Pilates workshops.

Melissa Wolfe Rosebro received full certification from the Physical Mind Institute in 2001, after apprenticing and teaching  with Julie Sorrentino at Broadway Pilates. Melissa is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance, has studied with Irene Dowd, Ron Fletcher, Michelle Larson, and Deborah Lessen. Melissa completed Deborah Lessenís advanced teacher program at the Greene Street Studio in 2004.  Melissa has taught ages ranging from 10-98 and has focused training in scoliosis and joint replacement protocol as well as dance-related issues and injury.  During workouts, Melissa keeps her clients moving while explaining Pilatesí principles and offering corrections about technique and reminders about breathing.  She focuses primarily on obtaining optimal posture for her clients so that they are able to enjoy an active, pain-free, lifestyle with a focus on what the client needs to feel comfortable. Melissaís workouts are deep and intense, but her attitude is always lighthearted.  The intention is to make the tough work of finding optimal health, body shape and posture not only productive, but fun.

One of the captains from Sebago Sailing (www.sebagosailing.com) will take you out for a cruise just before the sun sets.  This is a great time of day to take pictures of the amazing sunsets, take in the stunning views of the Maine backdrop, and watch the loons feed.

Enjoy a hike in the White Mountain National Forest, 770,000 acres of pristine wilderness.  From Bogeyland Lodge we will drive for about an hour until we reach the Basin Trail that begins along the Wild River.  The trail begins with level terrain and includes a boardwalk that passes through a forest carpeted in moss and ferns.  We then walk along the Blue Brook and see a pretty cascade.  As we gradually climb, we reach a striking cliff and relax on smooth granite ledge and here the Blue Brook forms a small pond.  We have hiked about 1.5 miles at this point and have the option of continuing on for another 3/4 mile that climbs somewhat more steeply to reach Rim Junction and have some fine views.  Your guides will be Chris and George who have lived in Maine for nearly 30 years.  Hiking boots are generally recommended, but since this trail is not exceptionally steep or rocky, sneakers would be fine.  The worst of the mosquitoes and blackflies will have passes at this point in the summer, but you will want to bring your favorite repellent and for those more sensitive wear long pants and sleeves.
